Bigg Boss 7: Armaan Kohli arrested for assaulting Sofia Hayat

Actor Armaan Kohli was arrested by Lonavla police after British-Pakistani actress Sofia Hayat filed a complaint of assault against him. Police barged into the bungalow and held Armaan Kohli for misbehaving with Sofia on the show. Sofia was evicted on December 11 and after eviction, she lodged a complaint against Armaan at Santacruz police station alleging the later of manhandling and using unparliamentary language inside the 'Bigg Boss' house. Following her complaint, he was arrested.

"Following the complaint by Hayat, an FIR was registered against co-contestant Armaan Kohli," Arun Chavan, senior inspector at Santacruz police station said.

Sofia lodged complaint at Santacruz police station and the complaint was transferred to Lonavla police station in Pune district as the incident took place in their province and they reacted soon on the matter and send a force to Bigg Boss house and picked up Armaan Kohli.  He has been booked under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 a (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code, police said.

After filing the FIR, the 29-year-old actress had tweeted: "Police report done. I'm exhausted with today!. the police have been amazing. Santacruz police have been very professional and courteous."
During her stay, Sofia had fight with fellow contestants Tanishaa, Ajaz Khan, but her arguments with Armaan Kohli turned ugly and violent and the later abused her physically.
